Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island triumphant over Interlake

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) and the visiting Interlake Saints (Bellevue, WA), observed Mercer Island's basketball team overwhelm Interlake by a score of 71-31.

The Islanders (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Sammamish (Bellevue, WA). The RedHawks enter the 3A KingCo battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Sammamish walloped Hazen (Renton, WA), 65-34, in a non-league battle.

The Saints now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Inglemoor for a 3A KingCo battle on Saturday, December 20. Interlake will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 43-42 non-league loss to Juanita (Kirkland, WA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-5.
