The Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), 73-45 in Monday's league test.

The Bulldogs (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils go into the 1A Smoky Mountain test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Swain County walloped Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 51-39, in a league test.
