The Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) basketball crushed the visiting West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS), 72-37 in Monday's league test.

The Hornets (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, Lawrence County was trounced by Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS), 63-53, in a non-league test.
