Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD), 56-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The travel to Crossland (Temple Hills, MD) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout on Thursday, January 4. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Crossland lost 40-23 in their recent league bout against Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Milford Mill Academy Millers (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Friendly will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Millers go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 66-43 non-league loss to Western (Baltimore, MD).
