Independence Knights (Frisco, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers (Frisco, TX), 56-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Knights travel to Melissa (Melissa, TX) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Melissa won 89-65 in their recent league bout against Greenville (Greenville, TX)

Next up, the Trail Blazers play the Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lebanon Trail will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 75-47 league win over Emerson (McKinney, TX).
