The Liberty Redhawks basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Independence Knights to 48 in the Redhawks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Redhawks now sport a 23-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Memorial for a 5A Region II District 10 contest on Friday, February 10. Liberty will battle a Warriors team coming off a 78-54 league win over Emerson (McKinney, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 17-14.

The Knights (19-14) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Coyotes enter the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 21-9 record. In their last contest, Heritage ran past Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX), 59-52, in a league contest.
