December 20, 2023: Salem, OR 97302 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) and the visiting North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR), saw South Salem's basketball squad hold off North Salem by a tally of 64-58.
With the victory, South Salem improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Saxons travel to Glencoe (Hillsboro, OR) to play the Crimson Tide in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Crimson Tide come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Glencoe won 67-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, OR)
Next up, the Vikings play the Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. North Salem will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 77-67 non-league loss to Roseburg (Roseburg, OR).
