Virginia High School Basketball - Bishop O'Connell nips DeMatha

December 20, 2024: Arlington, VA 22213

In Friday's league contest, the host Bishop O'Connell Knights basketball team scored a close 56-49 triumph over the DeMatha Stags.

The Knights (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Braves go into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Socastee was tipped by Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 55-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Stags battle the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans (High Point, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. DeMatha will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 53-44 league loss to Greensboro Day School (Greensboro, NC).
