Mississippi High School Basketball - Franklin County can't hold off Hazlehurst
December 20, 2024: Hazlehurst, MS 39083 Hazlehurst Indians (Hazlehurst, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS), 50-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hazlehurst upgrades its record to 6-9 on the year. The Indians travel to St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS) to face the Saints in a non-league match on Monday, December 23. The Bulldogs now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Gibson for a 3A Region 7 match on Monday, December 30. Franklin County will face a Blue Waves squad coming off a 75-65 non-league loss to Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS). The Blue Waves record now stands at 3-13.
