Mississippi High School Basketball - South Pike thwarts Franklin County
January 10, 2025: Magnolia, MS 39652 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Pike Eagles (Magnolia, MS) and the visiting Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS), observed South Pike's basketball team knock off Franklin County by a score of 60-49.
The Eagles (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS). The Blue Waves come into the 3A Region 7 challenge with a 5-15 record. In their last game, Port Gibson achieved victory over Wesson (Wesson, MS), 63-35, in a league game.
With the loss, Franklin County falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Jefferson County (Fayette, MS) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region 7 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 6-8. Jefferson County lost 57-48 in their recent league game against South Pike (Magnolia, MS)
