Mississippi High School Basketball - South Pike overwhelms Franklin County
January 28, 2025: Meadville, MS 39653 The South Pike Eagles basketball team scored 76 points and limited the host Franklin County Bulldogs to 46 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now have a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Port Gibson for a 3A Region 7 game on Friday, January 31. South Pike will confront a Blue Waves team coming off a 57-42 league win over Wesson (Wesson, MS). The Blue Waves record now stands at 9-14.
With the loss, Franklin County falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Jefferson County (Fayette, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 3A Region 7 game on Friday, January 31. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 6-12. Jefferson County lost 75-46 in their recent league game against South Pike (Magnolia, MS)
