In Friday's league contest, the visiting Taft Greyhounds basketball team scored a good 72-59 win over the George West Longhorns.

The Greyhounds (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against El Campo (El Campo, TX). The Ricebirds come into the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, El Campo dropped by Bay City (Bay City, TX), 65-48, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 26. George West will attempt to advance on its 11-5 season record.
