North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg sneaks past Berry

December 20, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28210

The South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Berry Cardinals to 49 in the Sabres league triumph on Friday.

The Sabres now possess a 5-6 record. They play next when they host First Flight for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. South Mecklenburg will play a Nighthawks team coming off a 64-51 league win over Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Berry falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Friday, December 27. The Cavaliers go into the game with a record of 5-3. Cuthbertson lost 55-44 in their recent non-league game against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC)
