New Mexico High School Basketball - Melrose overwhelms Dexter

The Melrose Buffaloes basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Dexter Demons to 18 in the Buffaloes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Buffaloes now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eunice for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Melrose will play a Cardinals team coming off a 49-28 non-league win over Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Dexter falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Capitan (Capitan, NM) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 3-4. Capitan won 57-24 in their recent non-league game against Mountainair (Mountainair, NM)
