The Melrose Buffaloes basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Elida Tigers to 52 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Saturday.

The Buffaloes now possess a 20-3 record. They play next when they travel to Texico for a non-league game on Monday, February 17. Melrose will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 57-10 league win over Hagerman (Hagerman, NM). The Wolverines record now stands at 16-6.

With the loss, Elida falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Cimarron (Cimarron, NM) to confront the Rams in a non-league game on Monday, February 17. The Rams go into the game with a record of 10-11.
