The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Logan Longhorns (Logan, NM) and the visiting Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM), observed Logan's basketball team edge Melrose by a score of 60-56.

The Longhorns (12-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines come into the non-league challenge with a 14-5 record.

In their next game, the Buffaloes battle the Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM) in a A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Melrose will attempt to improve on its 17-3 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 46-43 league win over Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM).
