In Friday's league contest, the host Western Reserve Blue Devils basketball team scored a good 58-44 win over the McDonald Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH). The Rams come into the Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Mineral Ridge was topped by Chaney (Youngstown, OH), 73-66, in a non-league contest.
