California High School Basketball - Cloverdale nips Middletown
December 21, 2023: Cloverdale, CA 95425 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cloverdale Eagles (Cloverdale, CA) and the visiting Middletown Mustangs (Middletown, CA), saw Cloverdale's basketball squad hold off Middletown by a tally of 51-48.
With the victory, Cloverdale improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to International (San Francisco, CA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 23. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. International won 72-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco, CA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Willits Wolverines (Willits, CA) in a North Central I challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Middletown will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 55-40 league loss to Fort Bragg (Fort Bragg, CA).
