The Freeman Falcons basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Johnson County Central Thunderbirds to 26 in the Falcons league triumph on Thursday.

The Falcons now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern for a C2 District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 2.

The Thunderbirds (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Conestoga (Murray, NE). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Conestoga ran past Plattsmouth (Plattsmouth, NE), 53-51, in a non-league contest.
