In Saturday's non-league test, the McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) basketball squad defeated the visiting St. Mary's Cardinals (O'Neill, NE), by a final score of 60-50.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. McCool Junction will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record.
