In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host St. Mary's Cardinals basketball team scored a big 63-35 triumph over the Boyd County Spartans.

The Cardinals (17-4) will now prepare for their contest against West Holt (Atkinson, NE). The Huskies go into the non-league contest with a 18-3 record. In their last contest, West Holt smashed Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE), 63-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars (Niobrara, NE) in a D1 District 8 contest, on Friday, February 14.
