December 21, 2024: Ellsworth, ME 04605 Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME), 49-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Eagles host Old Town (Old Town, ME) to face the Coyotes in a B North match on Friday, December 27. The Coyotes enter the match with a record of 2-4. Old Town lost 36-34 in their recent league match against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)
The Wildcats now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hermon for a B North match on Friday, December 27. Presque Isle will face a Hawks squad coming off a 43-15 league win over Washington Academy (East Machias, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 3-1.
