Louisiana High School Basketball - Central Lafourche tops St. Amant
December 22, 2023: St. Amant, LA 70774 Central Lafourche Trojans (Raceland, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA), 58-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Central Lafourche upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Bourgeois (Gray, LA) to play the Braves in a 5A District 7 bout on Friday, December 22. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 10-5. Bourgeois lost 62-57 in their recent non-league bout against Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA)
Next up, the Gators play the Booker T. Washington Lions (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 23. St. Amant will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 50-45 non-league loss to St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA).
