Illinois High School Basketball - Prospect crushes Elk Grove
December 22, 2023: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL), 63-32 in a league bout.
With the victory, Prospect upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Hampshire (Hampshire, IL) to play the Whip-Purs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Whip-Purs come into the bout with a record of 7-6. Hampshire lost 52-40 in their recent league bout against Central (Burlington, IL)
Next up, the Grenadiers play the Barrington Fillies/Broncos (Barrington, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 23. Elk Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Fillies/Broncos come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 51-42 league win over Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL).
