Illinois High School Basketball - Prospect holds off Hersey
February 2, 2024: Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL) and the visiting Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL), saw Prospect's basketball squad hold off Hersey by a tally of 48-46.
With the victory, Prospect improves its record to 20-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL) to confront the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 13-13. Hinsdale Central won 90-66 in their recent league challenge against Proviso West (Hillside, IL)
Next up, the Huskies confront the Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) in a Mid-Suburban - East challenge, on Friday, February 9. Hersey will attempt to improve on its 13-13 season record. The Grenadiers come into the challenge with a 3-23 record after their 61-45 non-league loss to Highland Park (Highland Park, IL).
