New York High School Basketball - St. Joseph-by-the-Sea thwarts Xavier
December 23, 2022: Staten Island, NY 10312 The St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings (Staten Island, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Xavier Knights (New York, NY), 49-34 in Friday's league test.
The Vikings (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Laurel (Laurel, DE). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Laurel went down by Curtis (Staten Island, NY), 54-53, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Mount Academy for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 28. Xavier will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 50-48 league loss to Millbrook (Millbrook, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.
