New York High School Basketball - Monsignor Farrell holds off St. Joseph-by-the-Sea
February 3, 2023: Staten Island, NY 10306 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Monsignor Farrell Lions (Staten Island, NY) and the visiting St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings (Staten Island, NY), saw Monsignor Farrell's basketball squad hold off St. Joseph-by-the-Sea by a tally of 47-43.
With the victory, Monsignor Farrell improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY) to confront the Titans in a non-league challenge on Sunday, February 5. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Holy Trinity won 55-53 in their recent league challenge against Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY)
Next up, the Vikings confront the St. Peter's Eagles (Staten Island, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 70-53 league loss to Xaverian (Brooklyn, NY).
