The West Brunswick Trojans basketball squad (Shallotte, NC), was nudged 33-29 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC)

With the victory, Lee County advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Yellow Jackets host Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to meet the Patriots in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Patriots enter the battle with a record of 8-1. Apex Friendship won 64-47 in their recent non-league battle against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC)

The Trojans now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Harnett for a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. West Brunswick will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 59-41 non-league loss to Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.
