North Carolina High School Basketball - Lee County triumphant over Ascend Leadership

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) and the visiting Ascend Leadership Aviators (Sanford, NC), observed Lee County's basketball team overwhelm Ascend Leadership by a score of 53-12.

The Yellow Jackets (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Green Hope trounced Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 71-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Aviators encounter the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Ascend Leadership will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 33-29 non-league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC).
