North Carolina High School Basketball - North Wilkes trounces Alleghany

December 27, 2023: Sparta, NC 28675

The North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball smashed the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 61-25 in Wednesday's non-league contest.

The Vikings now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Watauga for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. North Wilkes will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 55-52 non-league loss to Rolesville (Rolesville, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 8-3.

The Trojans (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Grayson County was routed by Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA), 41-22, in a non-league contest.
