The North Wilkes Vikings basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks to 44 in the Vikings league triumph on Wednesday.

The Vikings now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilkes Central for a 2A Foothills contest on Friday, January 12. North Wilkes will meet a Eagles team coming off a 56-30 league loss to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-10.

The Blackhawks (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds enter the 2A Foothills contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, North Surry was routed by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 50-38, in a league contest.
