December 27, 2023: Galva, IL 61434 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL) and the host Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL), saw Tremont's basketball squad wallop Galva by a tally of 48-26.
With the victory, Tremont improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Turks host Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL) to confront the Chiefs in a Heart Of Illinois challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 15-1.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) in a Lincoln Trail challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Galva will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 38-31 non-league win over Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL).
