In Friday's non-league contest, the host Fort Chiswell Pioneers basketball team scored a good 75-56 triumph over the Narrows Green Waves.

The Pioneers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Pulaski County topped East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 68-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Green Waves confront the Highland Rams (Monterey, VA) in a Pioneer contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Narrows will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record.
