The Lincoln Northeast Rockets (Lincoln, NE) basketball crushed the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), 63-27 in Wednesday's league test.

The Rockets (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln Southeast (Lincoln, NE). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Lincoln Southeast was trounced by Gretna (Gretna, NE), 53-52, in a league test.

The Islanders now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Fremont for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Grand Island will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 87-51 non-league loss to Kearney (Kearney, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 1-7.
