North Carolina High School Basketball - Cherryville ripped by Piedmont Community Charter

The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Cherryville Ironmen to 29 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valor Preparatory Academy for a 1A Metro 8 contest on Friday, January 5. Piedmont Community Charter will meet a Owls team coming off a 83-43 non-league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Owls record now stands at 4-6.

The Ironmen (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions enter the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Shelby triumphed over Ballou (Washington, DC), 48-46, in a non-league contest.
