Fremont Tigers (Fremont, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), 68-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fremont upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Columbus (Columbus, NE) to clash with the Discoverers in a A District TBD bout on Friday, January 6. The Discoverers go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Columbus lost 52-29 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln Southeast (Lincoln, NE)

Next up, the Islanders confront the Kearney Bearcats (Kearney, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Grand Island will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record.
