December 29, 2023: Downs, IL 61736 The Tri-Valley Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish to 30 in the Vikings non-league victory on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Normal University for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Tri-Valley will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 62-55 non-league loss to Pecatonica (Pecatonica, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-6.
The Fightin' Irish (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Rock Falls was routed by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 66-40, in a non-league contest.
