Nebraska High School Basketball - Burwell can't hold off Central Valley

The Central Valley Cougars basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Burwell Longhorns to 39 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Burwell for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 4.

The Longhorns (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE). The Spartans enter the D1 District 11 contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Ansley/Litchfield nudged Central Valley (Greeley, NE), 58-34, in a non-league contest.
