Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Kiski Area tops Fox Chapel
December 29, 2023: Vandergrift, PA 15690 Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Fox Chapel Foxes (Pittsburgh, PA), 43-33 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Kiski Area upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Gateway (Monroeville, PA) to play the Gators in a WPIAL 5A 1 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Gators come into the bout with a record of 2-6. Gateway won 37-14 in their recent non-league bout against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA)
Next up, the Foxes play the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Fox Chapel will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Fightin' Planets come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 46-33 non-league loss to Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA).
