In Saturday's non-league outing, the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) basketball squad edged the host Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), by a margin of 46-41.

The Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Beecher (Beecher, IL). The Bobcats go into the River Valley outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Beecher held off Donovan (Donovan, IL), 95-40, in a league outing.
