The Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) basketball edged the host Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA), 45-41 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Comets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Person for a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 4. Halifax County will play a Rockets team coming off a 45-30 non-league loss to South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 1-2.
