Illinois High School Basketball - Morrison can't hold off Fulton
December 30, 2023: Fulton, IL 61252 The Fulton Steamers basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Morrison Mustangs to 38 in the Steamers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Steamers now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bureau Valley for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Fulton will battle a Storm team coming off a 62-56 league win over Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Storm record now stands at 6-5.
The Mustangs (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets come into the non-league contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Newman Central Catholic edged Orion (Orion, IL), 80-67, in a non-league contest.
