Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Papillion-LaVista South Titans (Papillion, NE), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gretna upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Omaha Central (Omaha, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 7-1. Omaha Central won 74-54 in their recent league bout against Millard North (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Titans play the Millard South Patriots (Omaha, NE) in a A District TBD bout, on Friday, January 5. Papillion-LaVista South will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 52-44 non-league loss to Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE).
