Minnesota High School Basketball - Centennial holds off Blaine
December 5, 2023: Circle Pines, MN 55014 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Centennial Cougars (Circle Pines, MN) and the visiting Blaine Bengals (Blaine, MN), saw Centennial's basketball squad hold off Blaine by a tally of 73-69.
With the victory, Centennial improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Stillwater (Stillwater, MN) to confront the Ponies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Ponies come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Stillwater lost 76-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Owatonna (Owatonna, MN)
Next up, the Bengals confront the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets (Cambridge, MN) in a AAAA Section 7 challenge, on Friday, December 8. Blaine will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Bluejackets come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 89-70 non-league loss to Buffalo (Buffalo, MN).
