Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Monessen nudges Charleroi
December 5, 2023: Charleroi, PA 15022 Monessen Greyhounds (Monessen, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA), 56-54 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Monessen upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Yough (Herminie, PA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-0.
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (Jefferson, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Charleroi will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 63-53 non-league win over Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA).
