The Hardin Northern Polar Bears (Dola, OH) basketball edged the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), 52-47 in Thursday's league bout.

The Polar Bears now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Vanlue for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 10. Hardin Northern will play a Wildcats team coming off a 45-34 league win over Ada (Ada, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-2.
