The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD) and the host Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD), observed River Hill's basketball team edge Hammond by a score of 67-60.

The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD). The Wildecats come into the Howard County challenge with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Golden Bears encounter the Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Monday, December 8. Hammond will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
