North Carolina High School Basketball - Granville Central holds off Falls Lake

December 7, 2022: Creedmoor, NC 27522

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Granville Central Panthers (Stem, NC) and the host Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC), saw Granville Central's basketball squad hold off Falls Lake by a margin of 65-60.

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their test against J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC). The Warriors go into the 2A/3A Conference 18 test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, J.F. Webb got by Warren County (Warrenton, NC), 92-47, in a non-league test.

The Firebirds now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Vance County for a non-league test on Thursday, December 15. Falls Lake will encounter a Vipers squad coming off a 75-65 non-league loss to Crossroads Christian (Henderson, NC). The Vipers record now stands at 1-3.
