The Falls Lake Firebirds basketball team (Creedmoor, NC), dropped 64-49 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC)

The Vipers now possess a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrboro for a 2A/3A Conference 18 battle on Friday, January 27. Vance County will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 73-58 league loss to South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-13.

The Firebirds (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC). The Raptors come into the 1A/2A Conference 12 battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Research Triangle dropped by Eno River (Hillsborough, NC), 53-40, in a non-league battle.
