December 8, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87112 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), saw West Mesa's basketball squad wallop Manzano by a tally of 59-33.
With the victory, West Mesa improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs host St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Sartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Sartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. St. Pius X won 67-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM)
Next up, the Monarchs confront the Del Norte Knights (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Manzano will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 41-36 non-league win over Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM).
